Have you ever wondered what game development is like? Ever wanted to see what happens behind the scenes of games? This is your time to start!
In this 4 week expedited course, you will explore a variety of games genres while learning the basics of real game design and development. We will use the game engine called Unity 3D to learn how to navigate in a 3D system, introduce programming, level design, texture and shaders, particles, and much much more! Learn by playing real games in Unity 3D to grasp a better understanding of how it’s all made.
Week 1: Getting to know Unity 3D + Applying Components in Unity 3D.
Week 2: Textures and Shaders + Introduction to Programming and Publishing
Week 3: 2D Sidescroller Designs + Level Design
Week 4: Race Car Prototyping + Special Effects and Navigation

Requirements- Your own laptop and storage device to save your work. Unity 3D 5.2.2 pre-installed. Laptops may be provided upon request. Mac or Windows both welcomed!
Cost- $300 (**$260 for CIF Members and Sandbox Members)
Lesson Duration- Class meets once per week for 2 Hours
Class Schedule- Tuesdays 6:30pm – 8:30pm starting April 11th (4/11, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2)
