A programming course designed by girls, for girls! Developed by Game-U’s very own girl coders Erica and Rebecca, Girls.Code is intended to teach students universal coding principles by building their own Windows applications in Visual Studio. In just three months, Girls.Code introduces girls to app development, pseudocode, problem-solving, and fundamental coding concepts, including events, variables, and conditionals. Each week students build new Windows apps to practice old skills, integrate new ones, and have fun! The Girls.Code course culminates in a final project that students present in class. If you’re new to coding or if you want to learn more about the wonderful world of code, this program is for you.
Registration for Girls.Code Junior and Advanced is now available, but seats are limited, so don’t wait! Classes run Monday nights from October 2017 through December 2017. Girls in grades 3-6 will take on Girls.Code Junior and everything Erica and Rebecca have to offer. Girls in grades 7-9 will be challenged still further in Girls.Code Advanced.
