Who are the Instructors? Game-U Instructors are all experienced videogame professionals who have worked for some of the top names in the industry, such as Microsoft, Sony, EA, LucasArts, Activision, and more.
Jack holds a B.A. in Science Education from Wichita State University and an M.A. in Technology Education from Missouri University, and is currently studying for his doctoral degree in Social-Emotional Learning (Character Education) from Reagent University. With sixteen years of experience teaching Science & Technology, Jack is a versatile, skilled, project-based instructor who prefers to use an open problem-solving strategy with students, working with them to create and build the following: functional solar cars from base materials, with and without Arduino programming; aquaponic systems and greenhouses (both with and without Arduino automation); computational systems modeling, using NSF-promoted software; 360 mappings; aquatic environmental monitoring using digital sensors; and 3D modeling of atoms in Blender, to name but a few! Jack’s current projects center around bringing sustainable food production to everyday life – integrating aquaponic foods into backyards, making shipping containers into convertible greenhouses (and back again!), and more.
In his free time, Jack enjoys (to no one’s surprise!) science, technology, and the practical, eco-friendly application of the two.
