Meghan holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado, as well as a BFA in Painting & Illustration from St. Ambrose University. She is a recipient of the Colorado Women’s Education Foundation Scholarship, and the owner of a small business, focused on sustainability, STEAM arts and design, and community gardening. Not only that, but she is also a full-time Visual Arts teacher for Glenview Middle School, with a focus on combining hands-on traditional art techniques with creative digital mediums and tools.
Meghan has a great deal of experience as a teacher and in a variety of STEAM-related areas, as well as an impressive list of accomplishments and skills – including curriculum development, 3D modeling, 3D printing, engineering, robotics, full stack web development, CNC technologies, graphic and web design, photography, mural painting, and more. Prior to her career at Game-U, she co-founded the Midwest’s first Eco-Art Gallery, was a nominee for the Iowa STEAM Teacher of the Year award, as well as a curriculum developer for Rivermont Collegiate; during her time there, she established the very same FTC Robotics Team that made it to state qualifiers in their first year, and organized the first Technology Career Fair in the Quad Cities Metro area. Before that, she was a Division V Teacher, Science Specialist, and Robotics Co-Coach at the Academy for Advanced and Creative Learning. Not content with that, Meghan also put her considerable talents to work as a product photographer, figure drawing instructor, and mural designer, respectively, and has her work showcased in several different publications and galleries.
In her free time, Meghan enjoys all kinds of creative activities, being outdoors, gaming, and going on adventures with her corgi, Finn!
