Once again, Dublin’s students are making names for themselves – learning about chemical reactions and energy, constructing a “working” 3D engine model in Tinkercad, and even launching rockets! Check out some of their work below.

Students were tasked to both construct these models and then explain how their real-life counterparts work. According to instructor Jonathon, they pulled it off with flying colors! Click the image above to listen to them nail the concepts and display real mechanical problem-solving. One student mentioned during the lesson that he never thought he’d understand how engines really worked – but now it was easy!
But why stop at the virtual, when you can take demonstration into the real world? Instructor Jonathon took advantage of the sunny day and brought the online class “outside” via his laptop to demonstrate a live example of a chemical reaction generating energy. How do you do this, you might ask? With homemade bottle rockets, cardboard flukes, and the all-important safety goggles, of course! (Duck, Jonathon!)
Amazing work, everyone! Keep reaching for the skies!
