Learning is looking a lot different now than it ever has before. Hybrid & virtual school sessions are starting to roll out across the country, and many parents are left wondering how they can continue to promote their children’s learning, confidence, and skill-building outside of the traditional classroom.
That’s why we decided to have a Virtual Open House to showcase our programs and online STEM classes! Over 100 families joined us to discover options for online technology classes for kids ages six and up.
At Game-U, we believe the tech-focused training that we provide can be a perfect complement to the instruction kids receive at school. We encourage our students as they explore subjects like:
- Game Design
- Coding
- Digital Art
- Animation
- Robotics
At the Virtual Open House, which was held via Zoom and also broadcast on Facebook Live, families were introduced to Game-U’s online programs and teaching philosophy: Dream, Build, Play. If your child can dream up a game, we’ll teach them how to build it, and then they can play it. How cool would it be to play a game you designed yourself?
We also shared how developing technology skills can prove to be a valuable asset for many students, especially those who use their Game-U projects as part of their portfolios for high school and college.
After hearing a bit about Game-U’s programs and approach to online instruction, parents at the Virtual Open House were given a chance to view demo classes for specific topics like video game design, robotics, art, and coding. This allowed them to find out if a particular class might be of interest to their children.
Not all of our students move on to technology careers, but we know that the advances they make in problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance serve them well throughout the rest of their education and life. And we look forward to helping more students achieve their technology goals in the years to come!
