Meet Totatsu Y., longtime programmer, learner extraordinaire, and studious peer.
He’s Flemington’s January 2020 Student of the Month!

According to instructor Robert, Totatsu is an extremely hard-working and determined individual, staying focused on any task he’s given.
He’s a pleasure to teach and have in class, Robert attests – never attempting to distract others, always paying attention, and memorizing new concepts as they are introduced so that later on he can utilize it independently in his own projects.
According to instructor Robert, Totatsu is an extremely hard-working and determined individual, staying focused on any task he’s given. He’s a pleasure to teach and have in class, Robert attests – never attempting to distract others, always paying attention himself, and memorizing new concepts as they are introduced, so that later on he can utilize it independently in his own projects.

Likewise, Totatsu always does his best to go above and beyond for any given project! At one point, he had to miss a week of class – as soon as he returned, he toiled diligently and, within a day, was able to catch up on the material he’d missed!
Not only does Totatsu focus on his own work, but he’ll also spare time to help other classmates. Peer instruction is a time-honored and practical strategy for both learners and teachers. If appropriate, Totatsu’s instructor will employ it from time to time, asking a student who understands the concept to help out another student who may be having an issue. According to Robert, he can always count on Totatsu to be that student who understands and can help!
One of Totatsu’s most recent projects (seen above) includes a racetrack in GameMaker, as well as several different sprites for both Artillery and Racing curriculum units. Take a look at his work!
Congratulations, Totatsu!
For your diligence, consideration in class, excellence, studiousness, hard work, responsibility, initiative, conscientiousness, and determination, you are Game-U’s January 2020 Student of the Month! We are all rooting for you to reach ever higher.
