Game-U Flemington’s staff and students celebrated the end of the Mini Games 2019 game projects with style!
With awards such as Crowd Favorite, Instructor’s Choice, Most Original Art, and Most Original Game in the running, the nominated Presenters arrived early on the 14th to set up and show off their masterpieces! These exceptional students included:
- Adventurers Adonis P. and Constantine A.
- Explorers Noah F., Fox K., Charlie W., Manoli M., Alex F., Ansh S., and William P.
- Pioneers Colin F., Connor F., Liam C., and Aiden M.
- Voyager Chris E.
- GameWERX team members Marcus S., Ryan W., Aaron S., and Michael R.
Attendees – friends, families, classmates, and more! – arrived at 6 PM, ready to play-test the games, talk to the Presenters, and vote on their choice of game and artwork. Meanwhile, Game-U instructors conferred amongst themselves and selected the recipients of the Instructor’s Choice and Most Original Game achievements.
At 7 PM sharp, voting concluded – and it was time to hear the winners!
The Instructor’s Choice award went to Connor F., for always going above and beyond what’s taught in class. Alex F. and Aiden M. won Most Original Game and Most Original Art, respectively, while the GameWERX team carried away the Crowd Favorite.
Congratulations to all the Mini Games 2019 Showcase presenters and winners! We’re all proud of everything you learned and accomplished during the Mini Games unit. Keep up the great work as we build our Lunar Lander games!
