Rock, Paper, Scissors, AI

Time to check back in with our Teen.Coders’ newest project – the AI (Artificial Intelligence) version of Rock, Paper, Scissors! Now complete with – well, extra (and extra dramatic!) AIs! We’ve got ’em all: cheating AIs, dueling AIs, rage-quitting AIs (not mean ones, we promise), and AIs that sneak you the answer before you make your choice!
- Play Cole’s Human Wins RPS Variation
- Play Aaron’s Secret Code RPS Variation (and no, you’re not going to just guess the secret code that gets you an automatic win!)
- Play Colin’s AI Always Wins Variation
- Play Rocket’s Two AIs Battling Variation
- Play Koah’s Rage Quitting AI Variation
Made in Repl.it, these projects are the “variations” class the Teen.Code class has been looking forward to since Rock Paper Scissors coding began – and it shows! After cleaning up some very minor bugs (special mention here goes to Aaron, who solved his independently!) they got together, brainstormed some ideas for the express purpose of making their Rock Paper Scissors game as quirky or funny as possible – and then went wild! Student Rocket was so dedicated that he made a mock-up of his AIs Battling idea in Scratch first (it turned out to be his 100th project! Nice milestone, Rocket!), before launching into the actual code. Colin, Koah, Cole, and Landon explored various techniques to reach their goals, branching out from the demos Mrs. Rebecca did for them to see how they could adapt it to their own projects.
All in all – and I know I say this a lot, guys, really – but. AWESOME. JOB. You’re rocking the code and rocking the game!
