Scoring in Scratch!
Don’t forget to check out (and play!) Michael C.’s basketball game, made in Scratch with the help of instructor Ailsa!

Michael and Ailsa devoted no fewer than three consecutive sessions to this project. To start, Michael uploaded and recolored all the game assets in one fell swoop, before beginning work on the programming behind the scenes!
Great work, Michael! Just got a chance to play your game. It’s pretty impressive!
Andrew Byun, Instructional Supervisor
Thanks to Michael’s skilled coding, the radio now plays music when you click on it, and the game’s opponent can actually steal the basketball from the player. The ball itself develops a trajectory and velocity dependent on how long you hold the throw button – a tricky feature that he nonetheless managed to successfully incorporate. After testing for bugs and posting a beta version for feedback, Michael deemed his game complete and published it!
Way to go, Michael! This is awesome – keep doing what you’re doing!
