Meet Dominic C., camper, Voyager, game designer, Star Wars fan, and Flemington’s September 2019 Student of the Month!
Dominic has “tremendously impressed” everyone at Game-U, says Flemington’s studio manager Ms. Basia, with his determination to join the Voyager class.
To achieve this end, Dominic even attended Voyager camps during the summer, to give himself a leg up and speed his arrival into the class. His determination and enthusiasm haven’t waned since; from the first day he joined until now, he has been attending an Open Lab session once a week to put extra time into his GameWERX project.
Currently, Dominic is working with Voyager instructor Dakota, pushing his Unity game engine and C# programming skillsets further each week through Rolling Ball, Endless Runner, or Mini Games curricula.
Check out his Space Stealth Game below, complete with a menu, interface, and cutscene, or take a peek at his work-in-progress game Cave Crusaders below, being developed in concert with team members Cole S., Marcus S., and Dylan S. (otherwise known as “Blue Comet”)!
As a student, Dominic is always determined, incredibly eager to learn, decisive, and a natural leader, elected to be the “head developer” of Cave Crusaders by his Blue Comet team members.
Congratulations, Dominic! For your diligent work ethic, focus, passion, determination, leadership, quality projects, and commitment to grow, you are Game-U’s September 2019 Student of the Month! We are all rooting for you to reach ever higher!
