Showcase Success!
Game-U’s Tower Defense Showcase on January 9th was a big hit! With over one hundred attendees, several awards given, an appearance by Game-U’s First Lego League team with a sneak peek of their presentation for the competition on the 16th, and more, it was one for the books! (Or for the blog, I suppose? Meh, either one works.)
We had a lot of first-timers for this showcase – and every one of them said they had a “bunch of fun” showing off their amazing work and enjoying the limelight!
Good as they all are, Game-U only has so many trophies to award. Here’s the list of the big-time winners of January’s Virtual Tower Defense Showcase!
- Taking away the coveted Crowd Favorite award is the one and only Donavan T.!
- Winner of the Most Original Game goes to Will M.!
- The prestigious Instructor Choice award goes to none other than Kenzie W.!
- Last but not least and deserving of special mention – Emily T., the first Creative Writing student to win the Most Original Art award – and only the second to attend a showcase! Emily’s unique presentation of her work – hosting a live interactive writing session, with attendees involved in the process and giving her suggestions as she wrote – really made an impression here!
Congratulations, one and all! And thank you to our students, their families, and their friends, who helped make the Tower Defense Showcase such a success!
Excelsior!
