Meet Colin F.!
Colin is rocking it – in Teen.Code and his other two Game-U classes! According to his instructors, he’s always looking for ways to challenge himself and do more, and he’ll find ways whenever he can to help other students.
Just this month, he knocked off ten badges in a week; the month before, he finished the “Show Off” achievement for our Voyager Robotics class, walked the class through a JAVA program that he wrote for a course challenge problem (which only three of the other students in the class were able to complete correctly!), and volunteered to explain his code in detail, with added comments and examples readily given when asked. He’s continued to work on new JAVA code projects even after the unit ended, teaching himself concepts that go beyond even the lessons in class. Most recently, he and another student worked on an independent project outside of class, writing a JAVA discord bot and then sharing the results with class – which inspired their friends to do the same! Now, moving into the new month, Colin’s enthusiasm remains undimmed – he’s even taking a leadership role in Robotics’ newest project!
Amazing work, Colin! Your enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, independence, initiative, scholarly attitude, and willingness to help is an inspiration. You deserve some time in the spotlight!
