About Me

Domenic – or, as he prefers, “Dom” – is a skilled programmer, instructor, writer, and level designer with multiple award-winning games. His professional experience ranges from years as a peer writing consultant to level designer and gameplay programmer all the way to a virtual game development instructor. But Dom has never been one to rest on his laurels – dedicated to professional development and lifelong learning, he is always expanding his skills into different arenas. His ultimate aim? To work with GameU to help others find and succeed in some of his own greatest passions – game development, level design, and writing.

Achievements

  • Graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a concentration in Game Design & Development
  • Played a significant role in developing multiple games and projects, including Rise and Chime and Golfella, the latter of which peaked at #77 in Itch.io’s Popular category
  • Won Best Gameplay and Audience Favorite awards at multiple Stout Game Expos as well as 2D Con

  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, JavaScript, C++, C#, HTML, and Python, in addition to MySQL, SQL, Portainer, Proxmox, Github, Git, and SVN
