About Me
Jake is an experienced programmer with additional specialties in 3D modeling and animation as well as multiplayer and VR (virtual reality) games. He loves tinkering with new and interesting projects, and is constantly exploring creative ideas and pushing the boundaries of what is and isn’t possible. His passion for game development and STEM subjects means he is eager to share that same enthusiasm and knowledge to empower and inspire the next generation of creative developers!
 In his free time, Jake enjoys cooking, LEGOs, and web design.

Holds a B.S. from Purdue University in Computer Science, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts & Science (Game Design & Development) from Indiana University

Worked as a gameplay programmer for IU Health & Harvard Spaulding, developing various medical and therapeutic VR experiences that noticeably improved patient outcomes

Gameplay and network engineer for Soulfire Labs

Developed a custom multiplayer game engine using Vulkan and Steam’s networking API

Awarded the Walmart Global Tech Advanced Software Engineering Program certification, as well as the EA Software Engineering for Games certificate
