Emily holds a B.F.A. in Fiber Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She is a professional artist, teacher, and manager with a broad skill set, specializing in experimental painting and 2D and 3D work in Adobe Suite, Krita, Blender, and Rhino, among others. Additionally, she works in Construct 3, GameMaker, and Scratch to teach foundational coding concepts. Prior to her career at GameU, she was a long-term substitute art teacher for grades K-5, served as the Assistant Director of Arts & Media at Camp Kohut for two years, and published a variety of cover art pieces during her undergrad and post-undergrad journey. In her free time, she enjoys pursuing her further educational goals (studying art therapy!), traveling, painting (of course!), hiking, and roller-skating.
Above all else, Emily loves mastering new skills, exploring new software, and continuing that endless cycle of teaching and learning. Ultimately, she aims to work in a collaborative studio that bridges mediums and artists in a learning environment. She fits in perfectly here at GameU!
