About Me
Not just a skilled game designer, Joe also specializes in UI/UX, prototyping, drones/drone programming, and teaching STEAM-based skills. He boasts an extensive and varied professional experience, starting out as a visual and data designer in the financial sector, then later transitioning to the well-known Electronic Arts (EA) firm. There, he worked in several roles on multiple AAA titles, including Madden and The Sims. In 2013, he founded his own company, providing prototyping and consulting services in a variety of arenas - such as UX (user experiences), UI (user interfaces), and visual design, among others. A self-confessed “game jam addict”, Joe was even part of the team that won the “Tiny” Award at the 2019 Epic Games (Unreal Engine) MegaJam, so given to the best (and smallest!) game under 100 MB. Beyond his skills and passions, Joe was drawn to Game-U by virtue of a shared mission. There are very few other inclusive programs for children and adults with learning differences, and a particular lack of STEAM-based initiatives. As the father of two young adults on the autism spectrum, bridging this gap is near to Joe’s heart, and he wants to contribute to Game-U’s growth and success in this regard – in any way he can.
